An NGO known as Citizens Quest yesterday, stormed the city of Eket for inspection of the ongoing projects under the new management of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) led by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa.
The team visited Otoinyang Lane Off Ikot Ibiok/Ikot Udoma Road and Owen Eno Owen Road, Idung Iniang Group of Villages Off James Town Road in Eket LGA.
The Team interacted with the community leaders and residents in the area to know the intervention projects the Commission has carried out on roads.
Responding to questions, one of the community leaders at Otuinyang, thanked the Team for coming to the area to know the current state of the project. He specifically thank President Buhari and NDDC for sustaining community development which his community has become a beneficiary and pleaded for more projects from Federal Government to fast track development of Otuinyang community.
At Idung Iniang Group of Villages, The Team interacted with the Youth President in the area, Obong Iwaad Victor Ekanem and Imam Friday Okon, a resident and others. They all expressed excitement at the four months old road initiated, constructed and completed by the new administration of NDDC. According to them, they have never had it that good. The road was a dead trap but now it’s motorable, it has also attracted business activities and economic boom in that area.
Certainly, NDDC is working the talk. The commission is performing excellently.
