Today is a special day in our lives as Christians as we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Crucified, buried and given up by man, God’s divine power raised Him from the dead and He is today seated on the right hand of glory. What a translation!
So as we celebrate, my prayer is that His resurrection power will usher us into the glorious liberty, prosperity, favour and grace of the Almighty. And that His life-giving spirit will vitalise every aspect of our lives and bring us into His God-given destiny.
Let God remain the centre of our deepest affection as we stay focused on His promises even in these challenging times. Weeping may endure for the night but we have God’s assurance that joy comes in the morning. This is our resurrection morning and our joy cannot but come. So let us hold firmly to His word as we navigate the road to the glorious future He has promised us in Akwa Ibom State.
Let me end by referencing one of my favorite scriptures from Psalm 126: 1-4:
When the Lord made a change in Zion’s fate, we were like men in a dream. Then our mouths were full of laughing, and our tongues gave a glad cry; they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us; because of which we are glad. Let our fate be changed, O Lord, like the streams in the South.
May the resurrection power work it’s wonders and blessing in our lives now and for always.
